How to Find a Device's Public IP Address

Overview 

Instructions for determining your device/workstation's public IP address. CCSI IT may request your public IP address to facilitate access to various CCSI resources.

Instructions

Note that your public IP address is not typically static and may change depending on your location. CCSI IT may re-request this information from you if you change locations. 

1. Open a Internet browser window and navigate to google.com
2. Type "What is my IP" into the google search box
3. Your public IP address will be displayed at the top of the page. Reference below for an example:
