  • You can go online and reset your password by yourself with no assistance from CCSI IT.  

  • REQUIREMENT: You must pre-enroll in Self-Service Password Reset.  Click here for those directions

How to update your expired password in Office 365

Office 365 - Portal:

  1. Log into the Office 365 Portal: https://portal.office.com

  2. Select the 'Settings GEAR' icon in the top right hand corner and select My account

Office 365 – Change Password:

  1. Select the Change your password -> Option

 

Office 365 – Change Password

  1. Enter your current password

  2. Then enter your new password twice to confirm

  3. Then select submit to process the password change.

  4. NOTE: PLEASE ALLOW 30 MINUTES FOR THE PASSWORD TO REPLICATE TO OTHER CCSI SYSTEMS.

PLEASE NOTE: When changing Password Online, there are some extra requirements specifically SPACES are NOT allowed.  Below is a table that calls out the online password requirements:

Outlook Mobile Users

  1. Outlook Mobile will prompt you to update you password about 30-60 minutes after you update your password online. 

    1. It may take longer depending on network connectivity.

 

Special Instructions for CCSI  Laptop Users

Things to be aware of when changing your password online

CCSI Laptop Users:

  1. Expect Notifications from Office Apps, OneDrive, and Teams to pop-up about 30-60 minutes after the password change to have you sign back into those applications with your new password.

  2. For CCSI Laptops:

    1. Laptop login passwords will only change/update when connected to the CCSI network (Rockwest / Jay St). 

    2. Until the laptop is connected to the CCSI network, the ‘old’ password needs to be used to log into the laptop

    3. FortiClient VPN you will need to use your new password.

    4. CISCO Jabber will use your new password.

How to reset your password in Office 365

Office 365 - Can't access your account

  1. Go to the Office 365 Portal: https://portal.office.com

  2. Select 'Can't access your account?' from the Sign in screen

  3. Microsoft Sign In - Can't Access Your Account
  4. Select Work or school account

  5. Select work or school account

  6. For USER ID - enter your CCSI Username: username@ccsi.org and Select Next

  7. Enter user id

  8. Select the sign-in problem

  9. Select sign-in trouble reason

  10. Select your verification step per the Self Service Password Reset enrollment

  11. Select verification method

  12. Create a new password after successfully verifying your account

  13. Enter new password

  14. Select Finish and if successful you password will reset and will be able to log back in

  15. password has been reset
